Tarom now flying to Bucharest

2014-06-02, kl. 13:15

Tarom is back at Stockholm Arlanda again after a 13-year absence. The first departure for this non-stop service to Bucharest received a little extra attention, with special events at the gate and a Romanian television team on hand.

Today, June 2, Tarom’s first non-stop flight to Bucharest took off from Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The route will be flown three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays, with a B737-700 that seats 116 passengers.

“It is really great to welcome Tarom back to Stockholm Arlanda. The Romanian capital of Bucharest is a big and important destination, and the fact that we now have non-stop service to the city will make many travellers happy, both leisure and business passengers,” says Kjell-Åke Westin, airport director at Stockholm Arlanda.

The Romanian carrier Tarom was founded in 1954 and has been a member of the SkyTeam Alliance since 2010. It last operated out of Stockholm Arlanda in 2001.
