The pop-up shop is to be inaugurated on Friday, January 17, at 12.00 noon in Terminal 5 after the security checkpoint. It offers H&M’s expanded selection of sportswear as well as its Go Gold collection, which is inspired by the clothing H&M designed to be worn by the Swedish athletes competing in the Olympics and Paralympics. The shop will be open until February 23, 2014.
“With H&M’s pop-up shop at Stockholm Arlanda, we want to surprise our customers and draw their attention to our expanded sportswear line and to the fact that we have designed clothes for the Swedish athletes competing in the Olympic and Paralympic games. We have chosen Stockholm Arlanda as the site of our first ever pop-up shop because it is a place that many people pass through and we have a chance to reach both Swedish and international passengers,” says Martino Pessina, country manager at H&M in Sweden.
“We want Stockholm Arlanda to be an inspiring place where passengers have a unique shopping experience, with something new to discover every time they visit the airport. So it is really great that H&M Sweden has chosen to open its first ever pop-up shop at our airport,” says Michael Persson Gripkow, chief commercial and operating officer at Swedavia.
This type of collaboration is part of the development of the passenger offering at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. In 2013, almost 21 million people flew via the airport. With new records in passenger growth being set, Stockholm Arlanda is becoming an increasingly attractive place for shopping, and the offering is continually being developed.
