SAS to start non-stop service to Gdansk in May 2016

2015-10-19, kl. 16:20

On May 25, 2016, SAS will start flying nonstop to Gdansk from Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The route will have departures six days a week, every day except Saturday.

SAS flew the Stockholm-Gdansk route for a brief period in 2011 and 2012 and has now decided to fly it more frequently beginning in the summer of 2016.

There is a very large and rapidly growing market for air travel between Stockholm and Gdansk. The majority of passengers today fly to/from Skavsta Airport south of Stockholm. Non-stop service to Stockholm Arlanda will increase access.

“Poland and eastern Europe are a growing market for air travel to and from Stockholm and Sweden. The fact that SAS will now fly to Gdansk simply underlines the need for increased access to and from the region,” says Elizabeth Axtelius, director of Aviation Business at Swedavia.
