Ever since Norwegian launched its long-haul operations almost three years ago, non-stop service between Scandinavia and the US as well as Thailand has been very popular, with a cabin factor of over 90 per cent. As a result of this strong demand, the airline is now increasing the number of departures from Stockholm to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Fort Lauderdale. Los Angeles had previously been a summer route but will now have year-round service. Along with these three non-stop routes, Norwegian also flies non-stop from Stockholm to New York, Las Vegas and Puerto Rico in the US as well as to Bangkok, Thailand.
“It is gratifying that passengers in Sweden appreciate our affordable non-stop service between Stockholm and popular destinations in the US in modern, comfortable Dreamliner aircraft. We also see more and more Americans flying with Norwegian to Europe. Because of this strong demand, we are investing in even more departures between Stockholm and Los Angeles, San Francisco and Fort Lauderdale,” says Thomas Ramdahl, commercial director at Norwegian.
Since late October, 2015, Norwegian flies non-stop to Las Vegas from Stockholm. The numerous routes to the US give passengers great potential to combine flights in order to explore that great country to the west.
