“We foresee higher growth in air travel to and from eastern Europe. Over the past year, we have seen demand for flights to Romania from Stockholm Arlanda increase by more than 50 per cent. We know that there is demand for this among our passengers, so it is gratifying that we can now offer another route to Bucharest,” says Elizabeth Axtelius, director of aviation business at Swedavia.
“We are pleased to present Stockholm Arlanda as a brand-new summer destination in our programme, which will meet the demand from both business and leisure passengers. By next summer, we will have 65 routes in our offering, so we are also expanding our fleet of aircraft, which in March 2016 will have 20 Boeing 737s,” says Gheorghe Racaru, general manager at Blue Air.
Service between Stockholm and Bucharest will be twice weekly, and tickets are now on sale. The aircraft flown will be a Boeing 737.
