“We have some 50,000 passengers a year flying to and from Bucharest, and traffic has grown steadily over the past decade. About half of these passengers fly via another European airport, so we are pleased to now have another direct route to Bucharest from Stockholm,” says Elizabeth Axtelius, aviation market director at Swedavia.
“We are pleased to open our first route to Sweden and Scandinavia. We share in the happiness of Romanians who live and work in Stockholm and who can now travel home to their family more often. This also provides an opportunity for Swedish travellers to discover an exciting new destination,” says Tudor Constantinescu, Chief Commercial Officer at Blue Air.
Bucharest is one of the best kept secrets in Europe, with a wide range of restaurants, bars, art galleries and museums now popping up in every newly refurbished neighbourhood. The city has many different beautiful landmarks, with the most impressive being the Palace of the Parliament.
