More international passengers in October

2012-11-07, kl. 15:30

International travel at Stockholm Arlanda Airport continues to rise, although the rate has decelerated. Some 1,300,000 passengers flew internationally to or from Stockholm Arlanda in October 2012, which is an increase of 1.2 per cent compared to the same month in 2011.

The number of passengers at Stockholm Arlanda rose by a total of 0.7 per cent compared to October 2012 to 1,760,000. And even though the number of domestic passengers fell by 0.6 per cent, domestic landings were up 2.5 per cent.

The total number of landings at Stockholm Arlanda in October was almost 10,000, which is an increase of almost 2 per cent compared to the same month in 2011.

“A strong market means high demand for air travel. Clearly, the Stockholm region is still holding out against the declining economy that we have seen around the world, and this is obviously gratifying,” says Jan Lindqvist, director of communications at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
