International electronics retailer Capi coming to Stockholm Arlanda

2013-04-10, kl. 16:07

In April the international electronics retailer Capi will open three shops at Stockholm Arlanda Airport – in Terminal 2, Terminal 4 and Terminal 5.

Capi The Travellers Electronics Store is a Dutch chain specialising in airport retailing with a retail concept that offers a unique shopping experience as well as competitive prices. Capi already has a strong Nordic presence, with airport shops in the region since 1957, but this is the first time they are setting up operations in Sweden.

“We are very pleased that Capi is opening shops at Stockholm Arlanda. We aim to offer our passengers a broad and interesting shopping experience and consider Capi’s vision of offering the latest products at the best possible price to be part of this endeavour,” says Roel Huinink, Managing Director of Arlanda Schiphol Development Company AB, which is responsible for developing shops, restaurants and other commercial services at Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Göteborg Landvetter Airport.

Capi sells premium A brands, niche brands and products marketed under its own brand, MiTone. Capi shops are developed according to eight marketing concepts, based on the specific buying behaviour of customers at airports.

”Capi has wanted to set up shop in Sweden for some time now, and since there have been so many exciting developments at Stockholm Arlanda in recent years, this makes our establishment in Sweden a strategic and logical step,” says Peter Wiggers, Managing Director of Capi The Travellers Electronic Company.

The shops will open in April.
