Beginning January 15, payment for parking fees at Swedavia’s airports will move to a cashless system for all airport car parks within barriers.

In order to simplify payment options at its airport parking facilities, Swedavia will introduce cashless payment on January 15. This means that the option to pay in cash at the car park payment machines will no longer be available. Payment by credit/debit card also means safer handling for customers and today, more than 95 per cent of parking customers pay by card at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.

Henceforth, more payment options will be available for airport parking:

  • Pre-paid parking
  • Payment by credit/debit/petrol card.
  • Purchase of a charge card loaded with a given amount of money.

To facilitate the switch to payment by credit/debit card, during the transition Swedavia will also offer the option of cash payment at the airport’s parking pay desk (Parkeringskassan) in Terminal 5. The switch applies to all parking areas within barriers. At the short-term parking areas, payment in coins will still be possible.
