Apoteksgruppen expands at Stockholm Arlanda

2016-04-15, kl. 11:58

Today the first chemist’s after the security checkpoint is opening at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. Apoteksgruppen is opening a Pharmacy Shop, which in addition to a standard assortment of over-the-counter drugs also offers passengers travel products to suit their needs.

“We are pleased that we can now offer our passengers a range of pharmacy products after the security checkpoint. It will now be possible to make last-minute purchases as well as do planned shopping in peace and quiet after their baggage is checked in,” says Magnus Ros, commercial director at Swedavia.

“Quality and a carefully selected range of products are synonymous with pharmacies for many Swedes. We will continue to offer this in our Pharmacy Shop, with over-the-counter drugs and our own line of personal care products, which I think will be an excellent complement to the rest of the airport’s offering after the security checkpoint,” says Tony Jansson, chief executive of Apoteksgruppen.

The range of items intended for travel needs includes Nordic eco-labelled sun protection products, anti-bacterial and anti-virus gels and personal hygiene products. There will also be over-the-counter drugs, for instance, for pain relief, fever, stomach problems, colds, allergies and sore throats. Passengers will also be able to buy classic items traditionally available in Swedish pharmacies such as mouth and dental care products, facial and skin care products, vitamins and first aid supplies.Prescription drugs will still be sold at Apoteksgruppen’s other pharmacy in SkyCity at the airport.
