The contest required entrants to answer three questions correctly and also write down their best ABBA memory. First prize goes to Kjell Lundgren, who submitted the following memory: ”When I went to Stockholm by myself 16 years old and stayed at a youth hostel. I stood outside Polar Music studios all day to meet Björn and Benny and also to meet Tim Rice. They joked about being the ‘new ABBA’.”
Kjell, along with a friend, will get to meet the curator of ABBA The Museum, who will show them around and talk about the objects.
Second prize goes to Karen Seeberger, who sent in this ABBA memory: “My best ABBA memory was the day I saw ABBA live in concert on September 13 1979 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I was 14 years old and after begging my mother to get tickets after seeing the advertisement in the sleeve of my new Voulez Vous album she gave in and bought them. I still enjoy their music after all these years and I still have mementos from my teenage years including the two ticket stubs from that concert.”
Karen wins the book ABBA by Micke, written by Micke Bayart.
Congratulations to both winners!
