Training

Airport operations and business

Swedavia offers training within the aviation industry for employees at Swedavia’s own airports but also for other businesses. Regardless of whether you work at an airport, or at a company or organisation, you can now familiarise yourself with this knowledge in order to feel adequately prepared for the future.
We are market leading and our training courses are carried out in an environmentally smart way, and are adapted to how the modern-day airport looks. The training courses are carried out by instructors with a broad experience of working at an airport. Modern training methods are used which combine theory and practice. All or parts of the training courses can be carried out remotely.

Training courses for airport staff

Today, flying is characterised by very high safety standards and immediate action if something happens. Airport Academy, Swedavia’s school for training within airport operations, mediates this knowledge through a range of different training courses. The goal is to provide companies with a well-trained, effective and competent staff, thereby giving the airport and company the chance to operate a sustainable business operation.

Industry training

Airport Academy currently offers several different training courses which can be adapted to other business areas that place high demands on protection and security. Examples of training courses are fire and rescue services which include first aid and fire protection. Security control, security watching, conflict management and self protection are part of aviation protection and security, which are offered to the business industry.

Our training courses

Swedavia offer training courses within the fields of TFSF (The Swedish Transport Agency’s statute book) and other sets of rules and regulations which govern airport operations. Broaden your knowledge base by participating in our training courses.

The training courses, which are adapted to suit the needs of a modern-day airport, are carried out effectively and start on different dates depending on the course you are searching for. The courses are led by knowledgeable personnel with experience from working at an airport, and can be adapted to suit your needs. Since Swedavia’s airports are spread out across the whole country, you are always close by a training region.

We currently offers courses within TFSF & regulations, aviation protection & security, fire & rescue services, field services training & AGL as well as ground handling.

TFSF & regulations

We offer training courses within TFSF (The Swedish Transport Agency’s statute book) and other regulations as well as international and national legislation which govern airport operations.
The courses give a basic introduction to the regulations which are necessary to work with airport issues, and give an insight into the practical application of The Swedish Transport Agency’s regulations and general recommendations. The courses are primarily aimed at those of you managing a business, air safety coordinators or have another role which entails work with air safety.
The instructors have broad operational experience within their subject areas. All instructors are employed by Swedavia.

Aviation protection & security

We carry out training courses within the area of aviation protection and security in accordance with the demands of TFSF. Here, security staff is trained, including, security controllers, security guards, security officers and safety officers. All courses are adapted to suit your needs and can be carried out locally.

We also adapt training courses to suit companies within other business areas where high demands are placed on protection and security. In today’s society, there is an increased need for training courses within conflict management and self protection – courses are therefore tailor-made to suit the needs of the company.

The course instructors have broad operational experience within their subject areas and train security staff at airports, nuclear power stations and law courts throughout Sweden. All instructors are employed by Swedavia.

Swedavia is approved by the County Administrative Board to train security officers and guards.

Fire & rescue services

We train airport firemen and officers who are responsible for the rescue services of the country’s airports.
