In November, just over 2.8 million passengers flew to or from Swedavia’s airports. Total passenger volume is thus two per cent higher compared to November last year. Measured in passenger numbers, the increase was 50,000. There were almost 1.7 million international passengers, a four per cent increase compared to the same month last year.
So far in 2014, the number of passengers at Swedavia’s airports is up seven per cent to just over 33 million. That means it is very likely Swedavia will set a new record in 2014.
“We work with great focus to meet the growth in passengers at our airports. As a result, that also enables the continued development of non-stop destinations at the airports, which leads to increased access and improved competitiveness throughout Sweden,” says Torborg Chetkovich, chief executive of Swedavia.
The number of landings in scheduled and charter operations during the year has increased three per cent to just over 190,000 compared to the same period last year.
