Swedavia’s revenue increased 5.3 per cent during the period to SEK 2,697 M (2,561). In addition, the sale of the hotel property adjacent to Stockholm Arlanda Airport entailed an increase in other operating revenue of SEK 347 M. Operating profit increased to SEK 939 M (408). Profit before tax was SEK 808 M (294).

During the second quarter, 9.6 million passengers flew to or from one of Swedavia’s airports. That corresponds to an increase of just over 600,000 passengers or 6.9 per cent compared to the same period during 2013, a record year.

“The sharp growth in travel creates great opportunities for additional flight connections and highlights the need to develop the capacity at our airports, thus ensuring long-term sustainable infrastructure for air travel for the benefit of all Sweden,” says Torborg Chetkovich, president and CEO of Swedavia.
