In November, 2.8 million passengers flew to or from one of Swedavia’s ten airports. As a result, the number of passengers at the company’s airports so far this year has increased one million to 31 million. This four per cent rise in November can be broken down into a five per cent rise in international passengers and two per cent rise in domestic passengers compared to the same period last year.
“Swedish access has been enhanced by a number of our airline partners choosing to expand operations at our airports. Consequently, there has been better potential for increased social and economic exchanges, both nationally and internationally,” says Torborg Chetkovich, chief executive of Swedavia.
The number of landings in scheduled and charter operations at Swedavia’s airports in November was 17,600, an increase of one per cent compared to last year. So far this year, the number of landings is up 2 per cent, to 185,000.
