Focus for the quarter is on successful climate work

2012-10-30, kl. 15:12

Some 8.4 million passengers flew out of or into Swedavia’s airports during the third quarter of 2012, which is an increase of 1.3 per cent compared to the same period in 2011. Meanwhile, the climate work at every Swedavia airport in Sweden’s basic national infrastructure was accredited at the highest level. Ten of a total fourteen airports in Europe with this status are thus operated and developed by Swedavia.

During the quarter, Swedavia reported revenue of SEK 1,223 (1,144) M. Consolidated operating profit in the same period was SEK 297 (255) M. Capital spending for the period was SEK 461 (363) M, and net profit for the period was SEK 190 (164) M.

“Decelerating passenger growth combined with investment requirements to better adapt our airports to the needs of our passengers and partners makes it clear that efficiency measures will continue. And naturally it is gratifying to lead the trend toward long-term sustainable airports in Europe,” says Torborg Chetkovich, chief executive of Swedavia.
