“We are extremely pleased to welcome SUN-AIR’s new route to Göteborg Landvetter. Manchester is an important destination for western Sweden both from a business and leisure travel perspective,” says Olle Sundin, airport director at Göteborg Landvetter.
Business executives, football fans and music lovers will once again have the opportunity to fly non-stop to a city that in many respects is in the premier league of European destinations. SUN AIR’s route will have two daily departures five days a week (Monday-Friday) in each direction, with one flight in the morning and one in the evening. There will be an additional departure on Sunday evening.
“Many Swedish companies in the Gothenburg region have been asking for this very route – which will not come as any surprise since there are many companies with British operations in the area and a customer base of more than 30,000 passengers. Because we already fly to both Manchester and Gothenburg from other airports, it felt natural for us to also offer this service,” says Kristian Tvergaard, commercial director at SUN-AIR.
The route will be operated by SUN-AIR aircraft of the Dornier 328 Jet type with seating for 32 passengers.
With the added service, people in western Sweden have four options to choose from when flying to England from Göteborg Landvetter Airport: three airlines to London – British Airways, Norwegian and SAS – and now one airline to Manchester – SUN AIR.
